Introduction to Beekeeping in the Lincolnshire Wolds

Bizzy Bee Honey offer an insightful introduction to beekeeping in Louth on the Lincolnshire Wolds. Couple Shaun and Heather are extremely passionate about bees and beekeeping, and have been keeping bees for more than twelve years.

Within small groups, their introduction to beekeeping experience is intimate and highly informative.  Whether you are thinking that you may be interested in taking on this husbandry or maybe you are interested in honey bees and would like to discover their magic.

This intro to beekeeping in Louth is available on Sundays from May 2024 to September 2024, you'll be shown how we keep bees. There will be opportunities for to you look through a beehive and get an understanding of how to handle bees.

The beekeeping introduction in Louth session will last for a few hours and is set in the Lincolnshire Wolds (AONB) An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty at our Hallington apiary. There are plenty of hives on site for you to experience and a variety of plants for bees for you to see. We'll talk you through the beekeepers suit, tools and beekeepers equipment. All equipment required is provided. you need to have a go yourself. 

Before your beekeeping introduction in Louth concludes, there'll be time for questions, a chat and a cup of tea along with some honey to take home with you.
